Last week we treated ourselves to a high tea in central London. It was quite literally high as we headed to the roof of Selfridges to take tea (and lots of cake) on the roof of Selfridges where a Daylesford Organic Cafe has popped up for the Summer.

Not only is there amazing views and food but British food Architects Bompas & Parr have created a cake-based 9-hole golf course with each jelly, icing and fondant-clad hole representing one of London’s most famous landmarks. You have to see it to believe it!!

We've not done a feature on Etsy for a while but with the Olympics fast approaching we were keen to check out some London 2012 inspired crafts.
After scrolling through page after page of Olympic Rings(made from literally anything imaginable) we were taken by this cute little swimmer brooch by Elizabeth Pawle. Not exactly an Olympic Gold Medalist but we think she's pretty cute. Find Elizabeth's Etsy shop here.

So despite the rubbish weather we've been having a few weeks back we decided it was time we checked out Glamping! Armed with wellies and waterproofs we headed out of London to Adhurst Woods in the South Downs National Park.

Ten acres of beautiful unspoilt woodland is home to two yurts run and managed by Alison and Guy Lubbock who are passionate about sustainable living and encourage you to immerse yourself in a slower, more basic way or life.

With campfires, solar powered fairylights, wind up radios and of course marshmallows we had no choice but to kick back relax and enjoy the sound of rain on canvas.

We recommend you check it out, find out more here.

Mummy Treat Time

After working hard all year we treated ourselves to a day out in London town last week.  We had a lovely leisurely lunch, time to chat, plenty of shopping all topped off with a glass or two of Pimms!! It really made us realise that we should make the time to have more mummy treats (although I think our credit cards need time to recover!). So take five, let Daddy have the kids and hit the shops with your best girly friends - it's better than therapy!

For the past few weekends Gracie Dot has been practising her piano playing at a number of Festivals and events. Thanks to the lovely Lorraine at SE22 Piano School little Dot can now play a tune or two that doesn't make me cover my ears!!! Am I proud? Am I ever  because to be honest you could pay me a million pounds and I still wouldn't get up on stage ;)

We've been hearing all about Trill Farm from a good friend of ours and it sounds totally amazing. Based on an organic farm in Devon this family friendly festival offers everything you could want for a perfect camping adventure.

With a whole host of inspiring activities including badger and bat watching, freshwater swimming, foraging for fresh food and flowers together with workshops and events from amazing cooks, musicians and adventurists. The Trill Summer Festival will give you the chance to get creative and explore the world of art, craft and music against a beautiful backdrop of rolling hills, fields, and ponds on the 300acre organic farm. Oh and not forgetting camp-fire sing alongs with some of the friendliest people around!!

We think this is an event not to be missed. Go and check out their website for more information and to book
