Apologies for the lack of posts but we've been recovering from our weekend at Wembley in the company of Gary Barlow (sort of)!!! It was an amazing day out, who doesn't love a man or two in a pair of shorts and topped off by Mr Barlow sitting beside us!! We love football (most of the time!!)

Something for the Weekend.... Jeremy Deller at the Hayward
This weekend we are going to head to the Southbank and check out one of our favourite artists work. The Hayward Gallery presents a mid career survey of Turner Prize wining artist Jeremy Deller that will incorporate almost all of his major works to date including installations, photographs, videos, posters, banners, performance works and
sound pieces. It is a ticketed exhibition but we think it will be worth every penny :)

We're always on the look out for new things to hang on the wall and Lucy Gough's prints are definitely on our wish list. Lovely Lucy's work uses graphic lines and bold colour blocks together with hand drawn type and quite frankly we think they are blooming brilliant.

A Room For London
On the 19th January we sat patiently waiting for the clock to strike 12 and for bookings for A Room For London to open and although we were unsuccessful we just have to tell you about this project because it is just so good!!
To celebrate the Olympic year of 2012, Living Architecture decided to commission a temporary building for the capital. The one-bedroom boat, the Roi des Belges, by David Kohn Architects in collaboration with Fiona Banner was picked as the winner and is now docked on the roof of the Royal Festival Hall for the year.
Although the boat is now fully booked the Room for London will welcome leading artists of all disciplines for an extraordinary year of new writings, readings, postings, podcasts and live music webcasts from the capital’s most intimate temporary venue. So it really is worth check ing out and you can find out more here.
Plus there are rumours the boat may call in at another port once it's finished it's stay on the Southbank so if like us you want to have a go at climbing aboard we suggest you keep checking back for more info :)
