If the Sun Is Shining Then It's Time For Tennis

We have an amazing tennis club just down the road from us called the Butterfly Tennis Club. Once you have joined as a member you are free to dust down your racket and go for a knock about on the court. The Sparkle & Spin scamps had a great Summer on court courtesy of some brilliant coaching sessions.

So now while the sun shines we will play tennis :)

Sparkle & Spin Refit Begins TODAY!!

The Sparkle & Spin shop refit begins today and we are super excited. Plans for snap, our new photographic studio are coming along nicely and we can't wait to introduce you all to our lovely new shop and studio!

In the meantime we've had a lot of time on our hands and all we can say is dressing up is SO much fun!!

We are almost finished refurbishing the shop and snap our new exciting photographic studio is almost up and running!

The lighting is in, the cameras are here and the snap wardrobe is bursting at the seams with fun props and clothes for your little one to come and get creative with.snap will be taking bookings from November for portrait packages and our birthday fashion parties. Soon you will be able to find snap online but in the meantime here is a taste of what we will be doing :)

There's A Big Freeze Coming...

So according to the news there is a big freeze heading our way with snow predicted in... wait for it... October??!?!
Well we have been thanking our lucky stars that our delivery of Molo snowboots have arrived so we can be sure that our toes will be warm, cosy and of course funky. With snow predicted just round the corner we think it's time you checked them out!

Something for the Weekend....Open House London

Ok so I know we blogged about Open House London last year but it is just so good that we won't be missing it this year and we don't think you should either! There are lots of amazing buildings open from private residences to public buildings and Open House London also has a great programme of events for families that can be downloaded here.

We're hoping to visit the house of designers Antoni & Alison and the amazing 15 and a Half Consort Road that was featured on Channel 4's Grand Designs. We would love to hear about any buildings you visited or any you wish you could visit if you could get hold of the keys!!

On a recent trip to Denmark we were able to catch up with our lovely friend Agatha, who is and has been a great inspiration to us. Mum to Walter 10 and Hannah 6 she has an amazing eclectic style and is one of those lucky people that can always find an armful of treasures at every flea market or fair they visit!  

Agatha together with her friend Naja has started a brilliant blog that we just cant get enough of, Life is Too Short to Take a Nap, is a virtual noticeboard that holds everything Agatha would pin if only she could find a board big enough!! Full of beautiful images, inspiration and secrets, if we know Agatha it is sure to hold the key to some of the upcoming trends and styles!

Oh I Do Like To Be Beside The Seaside

Sorry no Something for the Weekend Feature today (we are busy getting ready for the Sample Sale). So instead we thought we would share with you some of our holiday snaps from the fantastic week we had in Cornwall at  Gwithian Sands. The weather was amazing, the 1960's beach chalet was super cute, Tate St Ives is fantastic and there were miles of golden sand so smiles all round!

Perfect Parcels from Katvig

As time goes on we are all being educated about recycling and the need to start to look after our planet. The Sparkle & Spin scamps are all very good at teaching us oldies how we should be recycling and it always hits home to hear a little one reminding how we should be thinking about everything we throw away!

Something for the Weekend... Tate Modern

We've been a bit slow on the Something for the Weekend features over the school holidays so apologies!!

This weekend we wanted to remind you all about one of our favourite weekend spots, the Tate Modern. Last weekend we finally got round to visiting the Start desk and took part in some of the activities they offer. The scamps really enjoyed the I-spy game which had us exploring the gallery to find images that matched the fabric icons from the Tate bag. As you spot the icons you can velcro them into the bag to create a collage. We throughly recommend it!
