Check Out My Wheels
We are slowly becoming obsessed with vintage toys so you can imagine our delight when this beautiful red wooden pram was dug out of my Mother's attic. It brought back so many memories of my childhood and it gives me a lovely warm feeling inside when I see Naja pushing her baby dolls round.
Plus it really does prove that high quality wooden toys really do stand the test of time and last generation after generation!

Keen To Be Green
The little ones have been on a eco warrior mission lately teaching us all about recycling and turning off the taps when you brush your teeth - it seems that Cbeebies are certainly trying to bring the green message home and our kids are keen to be green.
We've been talking about renewable energy in our house and how we can use the wind and sun to power things and the kids seem really excited by it. How do you teach your kids to be green?

Creative Cool
Well the crafting bug has finally bitten, after finding this gorgeous cross stitch sampler on our travels this Summer we've decided it's time to get crafty and start a new hobby.
With Stitch n Bitch groups popping up all over the country, becoming a member of the WI being totally cool and the delicious Liberty's haberdashery department we can't think of a better time to start getting creative with craft!
So we will definitely putting an order in over at What Delilah Did and get cross stitching - watch this space!

Generation After Generation
When we were last in Denmark I managed to dig out some of my old toys and two favourites that were buried in the toy box were this wooden crib and Kiki.
The crib was originally my Mother's before me so has now been enjoyed by three generations of the Sparkle & Spin family and Naja is loving rocking all her baby dolls in it.
Kiki the monkey was a really popular toy when I was younger and is much sought after by vintage collectors today. A character from a Japanese cartoon called Monchhichi these super cute stuffed toys were produced by the famous Japanese toy manufacturer Sekiguchi Corporation and seriously how cute is Kiki!!

Down At The Bottom Of The Garden
Down at the bottom of the garden at my Dad's house in Sweden sits a cute wooden playhouse that Naja (and I) totally fell in love with over the Summer.
Now that we are back in London and the Winter months are here I wish we had space for a little wendy house or den that Naja and her friends could use to make playing outside in the British weather that bit more fun.
We would love to hear if any of you have play houses or tree houses in your gardens, we've put it on our wish list for another time :)

We Found Some Treasure
We don't like to gloat but we have managed to search out some more brilliant treasure on one of Fleamarket trips.
Naja is now the proud owner of a beautiful vintage Silver Cross style pram to transport all her baby dolls and teddy bears.
The old fashioned toys are so beautifully made and ooze style and bring back so many memories for me.

Disney Does It Best
Disney does it best when it comes to cartoons so when we found these classic colour in Disney characters we just had to have them. Seriously Pixar and all that new animation is pretty cool but you have to love a bit of old school Donald Duck, Mickey Mouse and of course Goofy!! Our kids love watching the cartoons from our childhood and it brings back so many good memories :)
